The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has expanded the web domain suffixes to endless possibilities.
Any word in any language will be available for use with the inclusion of new generic top-level domain names (gTLD’s) which would most likely be at a low price as they are currently. The downside is that not everyone would be able to afford the suffixes; there is an initial application fee of $185,000 and then a further annual fee of $25,000.
There is a potential for prominent brands today to take advantage of the upcoming change, as well as individuals.
