Intel introduces Progress Thru Processors
Intel has created a Facebook page which introduces a distributed computing project running on the BIONIC client system. This system allows users to sign up and use a percentage of their computer’s unused processing power (grid computing) to help in life-changing research.
The partnership comprises of Intel, Facebook and GridRepublic and spans over three main distributed computing projects:
